Ballon Catcher
Balloon Catcher (work in Progress) begins with attraction. In the photographic explorations, the body encounters the balloon as an object of childhood joy — color, air, and softness held in gestures of intimacy and play. These images inhabit the space of fascination, where beauty is allowed to exist without defense.
From that enjoyment emerges an ethical tension. The balloon carries a double meaning: innocence and celebration intertwined with permanence and waste. The installation grows from this contradiction. Discarded packaging traps the remains of inflated desire, transforming pleasure into archive.
The project does not reject joy; it questions its afterlife. Between delight and consequence, Balloon Catcher exposes the fragile negotiation between human celebration and the materials that outlive it.
