The first iteration of The Plastic Sea invited the community from Roosevelt Island in New York City, to weave discarded plastic into a shared surface, transforming waste into a collective environment. The action activated public space through play, collaboration, and environmental awareness, After this event, through another public action, The Plastic Sea was traslated to Manhattan, where it was exhibited in a Chashama space, organized by El Consulado NYC.
